During this challenging time for our customers, employees, and nation, we want to reassure you that our commitment to you is stronger and more steadfast than ever. We are working diligently to take proper precautions to respond to the COVID-19 crisis and keep you, your families, and our team members feeling safe and secure.

CHEF’STORE Health and Safety Measures

Our company is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and developing action plans for both associate and customer needs, drawing upon many resources, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to make informed, fact-based decisions. 

We have taken many critical actions to support the health and safety of our associates and customers during this time, including adjusting store hours to allow more time for cleaning and sanitizing, implementing social distancing measures throughout our stores, and providing personal protective equipment for employees.

  • Masks are required - For associates who must perform their duties in-person at one of our facilities, we have issued specific protocols designed to limit close contact. We are also providing personal protective equipment, such as masks and gloves, for various roles when available. 
  • Social distancing measures are in place - In order to create a safer environment for associates who must be present in our facilities, we’ve implemented strict workplace social distancing measures. Additionally, we’ve put in place clear in-store signage to reinforce social distancing, including limiting customers in each aisle and proper spacing at checkout. We’ve also expanded our work-from-home guidelines and suspended all non-essential visitors across all locations.  
  • Barriers and new protocols at checkout counters - We’ve equipped all of our checkout counters with sneeze guards to create a barrier between customers and associates. Additionally, some store locations in Arizona, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina and Oklahoma are not accepting cash as payment to limit possible infection from hand-to-hand contact. 
  • Enhanced sanitization measures and protocols - We’ve implemented enhanced hygiene practices and cleaning procedures, such as adjusting store hours to allow for more sanitizing, and are providing additional sanitation products to all of our facilities. We are also performing hourly cleanings of frequently contacted surfaces such as, including carts, door handles, and all common areas.
