Brisket is ideal for cooking low and slow on the barbecue or in the slow cooker. It's recommended to add a spice rub recipe or marinate for extra flavor and tenderness. Season and cook over wood chips low and slow in a smoker. If you want to slice the brisket, cook to an internal temperature of 195°F. If you'd prefer to shred, cook a little longer until the internal temperature reaches 205°F. Let brisket rest before slicing for a juicy eating experience. Serve with fried okra and macaroni.
