Featured Recipe: Kikkoman Wild Salmon Bowl with Soba Noodles

Back Print

November 08, 2022

The team at CHEF’STORE® thanks Kikkoman USA® for their sponsorship and for sharing this delicious recipe with us.

It’s no secret that overindulgence is part of holiday meals. With classic dishes like mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and ham at the table, having a healthy and delicious option is always a great idea. Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and has plenty of B12. It has also been shown to increase heart health and brain function, as well as boost energy levels. When you pair fresh salmon with chewy soba noodles, earthy sesame, and the rich umami flavors of soy sauce, you have a healthy hit perfect for the dinner table!

Umami is known as the 5th taste. A Japanese term, umami translates to “rich, savory, and yum.” Many of us are familiar with bitter, sour, salty, and sweet. However, umami is in a flavor league of its own, and nobody does it better than Kikkoman. They are the world’s premier soy sauce manufacturer, with over 100 years of expertise. Their soy sauce is traditionally brewed and fermented, coaxing out the subtle, earthy complexities. Kikkoman soy sauce and sesame oil take this salmon bowl recipe to the next level.

Whether you are searching for a new, global-inspired entree to add to your holiday repertoire or an easy meal to nosh while planning your holiday shopping, this recipe has you covered.
