Star Ranch Angus® Premium NY Strip with Togarashi Rub

Yield: 1 – 10 oz. NY Strip Steak each

Prep time: 5 minutes

Inactive time: 6 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes


1 – 10 oz. Star Ranch Angus Premium NY Strip Steak, cut/trimmed 

1 sheet nori 

2 tbsp grapefruit or orange zest 

4 tsp Korean chile flakes  

2 tsp sesame seed  

1tsp ginger powder  

1 tsp poppy seed  

1 tsp white pepper  

Recipe is enough for one case of steaks.

Cooking Instructions

1. Dust the steak in the rub and let rest for one minute.

2. Preheat the grill over medium-high heat.

3. Grill on one side, turning after 2-3 minutes at a 45-degree angle to create cross grill marks.

4. Turn the steak over and grill on the opposite side.

5. Remove and place in oven at 325°F and roast for 5 minutes, or until desired doneness.

6. Let rest for 5 minutes to retain juices.
